Wendy's narrow victory over the SNP in North East Fife was one of the few crumbs of comfort in a very disappointing night in 2019.
Wendy was born in Greenock and studied English at Edinburgh University. She served in the police for 12 years then held a number of different positions in the private sector. She joined the Liberal Democrats in 2015 and stood as a paper candidate in Stirling in 2017 coming fourth.
Wendy has been the party's Chief Whip since 2020 as well as a number of other briefs.
Her husband is a member of the SNP.
