William took over from Thomas Buchanan, improving on his majority.
William was a business man.
William's maiden speech was in favour of the Parliament Bill.
William supported Lloyd George and was returned unopposed at Perth in 1918.
William stood down in 1922.
He died in 1942 aged 79.
