Constituency : Carmarthen 1837-64

David  was  from  a  family  of  bankers who  had  become  considerable  landowners  in  the  area.

He  died  in  1864  leaving  a  vast  fortune  to  his  two  cousins, one  of  whom  succeeded  him  in  the  seat.
