2329 Stephen Gilbert
Constituency : St Austell and Newquay 2010-15
Stephen won the new seat of St Austell and Newquay.
Stephen was born in Truro and educated at local schools. He went on to the University of Wales and the London School of Economics. He was briefly a councillor in Haringay then for Restormel in Cornwall. He briefly worked as a researcher for Lembit Opik then as a lobbyist for a financial services company.
Stephen became a junior whip. He was PPS to Ed Davey from 2012 to 2014.
In 2013, Stephen helped rescue a woman from the Thames.
In 2014, he was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy.
In 2015, Stephen was defeated by the Tories and fell into third place in 2017.
Stephen now teaches History and Politics at the King's School, Worcester.
Stephen is gay.
He is now 42.
