2290 Matthew Green
Constituency : Ludlow 2001-05
Matthew took Ludlow from the Tories after successfully squeezing the Labour vote.
Matthew was educated at Priory School, Shrewsbury and the University of Birmingham. He stood for Wolverhampton South West in 1997, coming third. He worked in P.R. and was a local councillor.
Matthew was a spokesman on the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and on youth affairs.
He was on the libetarian wing of the party.
Matthew was defeated in 2005 as the Tories got more of their vote out.
Matthew set up a consultancy Green Planning Solutions to act in public enquiries. He attracted controversy by acting for gypsies looking to maintain illegal sites. By 2007, it was going so well that he stepped down as PPC for Ludlow. He remains active in the party.
Matthew is a keen cricketer.
He is now 49.
