William  replaced  Thomas  Stock  at  Carlow.

William  was  the  son  of  the  Cork  MP  William  Trant  Fagan. He  was  a  captain  in  the  12th  Royal  Lancers.

William  later  emigrated  to  Australia.

He  died  in  1890  aged  57.
