Constituency :  Kildare  1852-80

William  first  got  elected  in  a  by-election  in  1852.  He  held  off  the  Home  Rule  challenge  in  1874  but  the  seat  was  lost  when  he  retired  in  1880.

He  died  in  1894  aged  71.
